Hooper’s in Kingsland, TX

Hooper’s in Kingsland, TX

Yesterday a good friend and I visited a very haunting and spooky restaurant in Kingsland, Texas. This house was used for the 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie set! The moment I heard about this place I knew I wanted to go visit it. It’s also a good time getting out of the city and exploring more smaller towns in Texas.

Kingsland, Texas was wonderful and I fell in love with the small businesses, old houses, and a great small-town cozy vibe.

…a casual southern pub fare restaurant located in the heart of Kingsland, Texas. Our restaurant is situated inside the iconic restored Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie set of 1974, off the banks of the Colorado River, which serves as the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. At Hooper’s, we pay homage to the original director and screenwriter, Tobe Hooper. As you step inside, you’ll find subtle and bold nods to the history of the house, adding to the unique and intriguing atmosphere of our restaurant.

Their food menu had such a wide selection to choose from! I hoped to try their meatloaf but we arrived too early for the dinner menu. I was also told that their breakfast is super delicious and you have to make a reservation for the morning times since it get’s so packed! They had a “Chicken Slaughter Sandwich” that sounded perfect for a spooky meal.

I’ll have to make another trip back to try more food selections. I ended up choosing their burger & artichoke dip. It was SO good!

If you make it out to Hoopers, I’d love to know your experience! As a horror enthusiast, I love finding out about places like this! I hope you enjoy your visit there!
